The hitachi magic wand is a mains powered wand shaped massager. The unit draws 24W on high speed and is connected by a linecord to 120VAC mains power. There is no battery. The motor is mounted in the wand handle, which is coupled through a spring damping mechanism to the massage head. A flexible driveshaft connects an offset weight in the massage head to the motor.

The weight spins at 6000rpm (100hz) on high and 5000rpm (83hz) on low.
